  2.                             FAST BASIC PROGRAMMING
  3.   ****************************************************************************
  4.   The following disks originated from the Fast Basic User Group which   ceased
  5.   operation at the end of 1989. The programs on these disks  cover a number of
  6.   different areas and contain full source code which  can be adapted for  your
  7.   own purposes.  For this reason these disks  have not been categorised. Users
  8.   who do not own Fast Basic can still  use the programs as a runner program is
  9.   provided on disk.

  12.   FB.05M  SKETCHBOOK - Draw up your own pictures and type in speech. Play back
  13.   animation  along  with speech (generated by the Fast Basic  speech  module).
  14.   Animations on this disk are Cyril and Diver. Needs 1 Meg memory.
  15.  
  16.   FB.06M   SKETCHBOOK - As FB.05M but without the runner program (no  room  on
  17.   disk!).  Animation  on this disk is Boxer.  Needs 1 Meg memory.
  18.  
  19.   FB.07C  A SPELLING PROGRAM for the young in Fast Basic by Peter Jackson. You
  20.   see an object and a voice tells you what it is.  Then  you have to spell  it
  21.   by pointing the mouse at a keyboard on screen.  This is an excellent program
  22.   for 3-8 year olds as you can vary the difficulty.

  24.   FB.08   FAST BASIC PROCEDURE/FUNCTION LIBRARY by Martin Brough - This   disk
  25.   is  a  collection of routines which are intended for use in your   own  Fast
  26.   Basic    programs. There is a manual on disk.   ADD_PRINT - A database which
  27.   is    primarily intended as an envelope and label printer.  Compile it as an
  28.   ACC  for    use from within your word processor (or any other GEM  program).
  29.   High res only.     OUTLINE 6 - An outliner program.  Mono  only.  ST SHEET -
  30.   The  same  spreadsheet  as on UTL.86 but in  .BSC  form.  Medium  res  only.
  31.   VARIOUS - Five programs for the small business. These programs will not work
  32.   with the runner program and need Fast Basic itself.

  34.   FB.09   MIDI  PROGRAMMING in Fast Basic by Kevin Adams -  A  collection   of
  35.   programs  designed  to allow you to record and playback  through  the   Midi
  36.   ports  and  control the Akai S700/X7000 hardware  sample  sequencer.    MIDI
  37.   PROGRAMMING  in  Fast Basic by R C Alden - This program will  allow  you  to
  38.   create  sounds  for your Casio synthesizer on the  screen using  the  mouse.
  39.   These  sounds  can be stored on disk as single  sounds or as a bank  of  16.
  40.   These sounds can easily down loaded to  the synthesizer,  again as a  single
  41.   sound or as a bank of 16. Sounds  may also be loaded up from the synthesizer
  42.   altered and stored etc. Requires Fast Basic on cartridge OR 1 Meg memory.

  44.   FB.14   More  Fast Basic Programs.  ANGEL ISLE ADDRESS BOOK  -  A  telephone
  45.   number book.  RSC USER - Gives limited control over midi instruments.  GEM -
  46.   Various  Gem utilities.  These really need to be incorporated into your  own
  47.   Fast Basic programs.  SOCCER - A text based football management game.

  49.   FB.15   Various  Fast Basic Programs (GRAPHICS AND MATHS) - Mostly  low  res
  50.   graphics demos.  Some are impressive,  others are not!  JACKPAINT,  DOODLE -
  51.   freehand  drawing.  GRAPHPLOT  -  Plots graphs of  your  chosen  data.  Some
  52.   programs run in mono only (emulator included).  Although a runner program is
  53.   on disk,  several programs will only run under Fast Basic itself.  More Fast
  54.   Basic Programs - Most run in Mono but some in Low res.  Most of the programs
  55.   are various types of puzzles like TENPIN,  TILT,  RUBLIK'S CLOCK, CROSSWORDS
  56.   etc.  Also  on  disk is a VCR Database and a program called  Big  Label  for
  57.   addressing Envelopes. Mono emulator is included in Auto folder.

  59.   FB.16  More Fast Basic Programs & Utilities.  C_CHART - Displays pie  charts
  60.   or bar graphs in various colours.  DACKCOMB - A 3D contour mapping  program.
  61.   Info is include on disk. KNITTING - A Knitting Pattern generator. PATIENCE -
  62.   The  game.  SYMTRIX  - A program that generators various  graphic  displays.
  63.   SCROLLIT  -  An  example of scrolling in Fast  Basic.   Various  Fast  Basic
  64.   Utilities.  MANDELBROT & JULIA SET GENERATOR. FUNCTION - Produces a table or
  65.   a  graph  from the roots of algebraic expressions.  BOOT READ -  Reads  boot
  66.   sector  of disk and displays info.  CALCULAT - Converts various  items  like
  67.   wavelength to frequency,  metric to imperial, grams to ounces and ohm's law.
  68.   EQUATS  - For solving quadratic or cubic equations.  PRIME_NO - Checks if  a
  69.   given number is prime or not.  Most programs run in medium res but some  are
  70.   high res only. Mono emulator on disk.
